Mission statement:
Wordpressphoto.net will become the number one resource on how you use Wordpress as an awesome photo publishing platform.
Why?
I couldn’t find decent info on how to create photography sites with Wordpress, so being a web designer and photographer I set out to create a great resource myself. I’ve two primary goals right now:
- To create the series Wordpress for photographers 1 & 2. Number one tells you all about getting started with your Wordpress photo site: evaluate if you need one, if Wordpress is a good choice for you, setting it up and navigating around. Number two will discuss what to do after that – how to publish great content, getting people to your website, selling images, what you can do to make your website even better and so on.
- To review the best photography-focused Wordpress resources out there and create the go-to library of these resources.
This’ll take some time. But you got to start somewhere, right?
My goal is to create a good, lasting resource on how to use Wordpress as an awesome photo publishing platform. That means I won’t regard this site as a traditional blog. There will not be lists like 13 cool photoblog themes or 10 Wordpress plugins you must have to succeed. I will also work iterative, publishing parts of the series and then changing them after feedback and more learning. I might not update every week or even every month. That probably means I’m testing stuff out or running my own photo sites. I want to dive deep into the subject rather than scratch on the surface like most others do.
Puh. I guess that’s it for the disclaimer
Oh, and some of the links on this site are affiliate, which means I get a small amount of money from partners if you click through and buy things. These links help keep this site alive and expand, and won’t affect what I think of a certain resource. Pinky-promise!
And who am I to do this?
I’m Linus! I’ve previously worked as a freelance photographer and print producer, and these days I’m a web ninja for the fantastic Good Old. I live in the land of IKEA and vikings – Sweden – where I sometimes hug my lovely girlfriend, pet our cat, take pictures, make websites and build with LEGO. I’ve set up a great deal of photo related internet ventures, and now I want to help you get yours together. The world is beautiful, and even more so if we share it with each other.
Cheers!

Hey Linus,
I am glad somebody took the initiative and started somewhere! I will be sending your site link to all my friends. Wish you all the best!
Hi Dilip! Thanks for visiting and telling your friends – I really appreciate it. I see that your site is built on Wordpress. Let me know if you’ve any questions or ideas on what you want me to go through here.
Oh, and beautiful photography by the way. You really manage to capture the energy of the musicians. Great stuff.
Hi Linus,
Your websites are great! I have been poking around some of your projects, and I now have this site bookmarked so I can catch new posts as they come.
